with Israel. Jordan is also the house of Petra, one of the architectural
miracles of the world, a Nabatean city carved in the red rock. Let alone the

Petra
Departures: Daily From Eilat
Pick
up from your hotel at 07:30, arriving at the Arava border crossing we will
enter the Kingdom of Jordan, from here a 2 hours drive takes us to the ‘Lost
City of Petra’ An absolute must for all
visitors to the region. Having walked for 30 minutes through the imposing
Canyon (Wadi Siq) at its entrance, that awesome and monumental moment when you
first step foot in Petra is upon you. Counted amongst the
wonders of the ancient world. Petra is an archeological, anthropological
and geological phenomenon. Your private guide will explain the history,
legends, myths and truths of this astonishing city carved 2,000 years ago from
the Red sandstone Mountains. We will enjoy a buffet lunch in Petra, followed by
an afternoon visit to Wadi Musa ( a small village
nearby), and city tour of Aqaba. Following this, we will commence our return
journey to Arava border arriving in the evening in Eilat.

Day 1 Wadi
Arava Border – Wadi Rum – Petra
Meet / assist at Wadi
Arava border. Drive to Wadi Rum for a jeep tour of the moonscape terrain. T. E.
Lawrence rightly described as “vast”, echoing and God-Like. After the jeep tour
in Wadi Rum, drive to Petra for over night.
Day 2 Petra
– Wadi Arava Border
Full day touring Petra, with entry by Siq and
visits to the Treasury, Street of Facades, Theater, Museum and ad-Deir, petra’s
largest carved façade, later afternoon drive back to Wadi Arava border for
departure.

While you are in Petra, you can enjoy:
1. Petra by
Night program includes a candle lit visit to the Rose-Red City
of Petra .The spcial aura of the ancient Nabatean trading empire comes to life
as you enjoy a stroll through the mysterious Siq of Petra. And at al Khaznah
(the Treasure), music and stories will help you experience Petra as the
travel-weary traders of old must have known it. The excursion departs from
Petra Vistor Centre each Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evening at 20:30 pm
returning to Visitor Centre around 22:30 pm.
2. The Petra
Kitchen is a delightful way to round out your Jordan travel
experiences. Like any home kitchen , The Petra Kitchen
is a relaxed , informal atmosphere where you’ll gather to prepare an evening
meal, working alongside local women under the supervisions of their chef.
Each evening meal includes soup, cold and hot mezza and salads, and a main course-all typical Jordaian
dishes.

Day 1 Wadi
Arava Border – Wadi Rum – Petra
Meet / assist at Wadi
Arava border. Drive to Wadi Rum for a jeep tour of the moonscape terrain. T. E.

in Wadi Rum, drive to Petra for over night.
*It is possible to stay overnight camping in Wadi Rum, next day drive to
Petra for full day tour inside the ruins.
Day 2 Petra
Full day touring Petra, with entry by Siq and
visits to the Treasury, Street of Facades, Theater, Museum and ad-Deir, petra’s
largest carved façade. Overnight in Petra.
Day 3 Petra
– Wadi Arava Border
Second day full day touring in
Petra, with entry by al Madras and visit to the high Place of Sacrifice, Wadi
Farasa, Great Temple and Royal Tombs. Late afternoon drive back to Wadi Arava border for departure.

(Two Nights) arrival / departure from Allenby Bridge
Day 1 Allenby
Bridge – Mt. Nebo – Kerak – Petra
Meet / assist at Wadi
Arava border. Drive to Mt. Nebo, from which Moses viewed the Promisien Land,
take in the view of Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, Jericho and (if it’s clear) the
distand spires and domes of mount of Olives, and visit the contemporary Church
with its display of mosaics from the succession of pilgrimage Churches on this
venerated spot.
Day 2 Petra
Full day touring Petra, with entry by Siq and
visits to the Treasury, Street of Facades, Theater, Museum and ad-Deir, petra’s
largest carved façade. Overnight in Petra.
Day 3 Petra
– Allenby Bridge or to Wadi Arava Border
Drive back to Allenby Bridge or to Arava border to Eilat
or to Amman Queen Alia airport.

(Two Nights) arrival / departure from Sheikh Hussein Bridge
Day 1 Sheikh
Hussein Bridge – Jerash – Petra
Drive to Jerash to tour the world’s best – preserved
Roman provinical city, including visit to the Southern Theater, cardo, forum,
Temple of Artemis and Byzantine church. Continue to Petra for overnight.
Day 2 Petra
Full day touring Petra, with entry by Siq and
visits to the Treasury, Street of Facades, Theater, Museum and ad-Deir, petra’s
largest carved façade. Overnight in Petra.
Day 3 Petra
– Allenby Bridge or to Wadi Arava Border
Drive back to Allenby Bridge or to Arava border to Eilat
or to Amman Queen Alia airport.
Tour No 5.
Jordan - Petra and Wadi Rum 2 Day Tour
First Day - This Petra
and Wadi Rum tour leaves Eilat early morning for the Rabin
crossing where we enter Jordan. Here we board 4X4
jeeps, driven by professional Bedouin drivers and journey to the sandstone area
of Wadi Rum. We go off-road into its unique landscape and get off the
beaten track to explore rarely traveled ancient merchant
routes. Lunch is enjoyed outdoors. We continue off-road through the
Rum and by evening reach a Bedouin hospitality
camp, here we enjoy our evening meal and settle for the
night in a guest tent*. In Wadi Rum we have the opportunity
to witness the awe-inspiring Arabian night-skies and
the enchanting views of Wadi Rum.
Another option for
the night: nice 3* hotel near Petra.
Second Day-
Following breakfast we board our car and head for
the road to Petra. At the modern entrance to the ancient site we
leave our vehicles and commence the walk (horses optional) to the imposing
Siq Canyon. A 1/2 hr walk through its towering canyon walls leads us
into Petra. We tour the lost city on foot, exploring the
main archeological sights. We stop for a refreshing buffet lunch at a
restaurant within the site. Following lunch we commence the walk back
to our vehicles at Petra's entrance. Participants may hire the
services of the traditional transport providers (mules, camels
and horse-drawn carriages) along the way. We reach Eilat by
evening.

Sunday- Hussein bridge
(Allenby Bridge) / Jerash / Amman
Departure from Tel Aviv
& Jerusalem to the border. After border
crossing procedures enter to Jordan and proceed to Jerash –city of the
Decapolis – located about 45 km north of Amman in the fertile heights of the
Gilead. Visit the ancient Roman city with colonnaded streets. The baths and the hilltop temple. Then drive to Amman – the
capital of Jordan. After a short orientation tour viewing the various landmarks
of the city drive to hotel for overnight.
Monday- Amman / Petra
/ Amman
After an early breakfast, leave the hotel and travel
south on the road to Wadi Musa. Take a horse ride from the Visitor Centre to
the entrance of the dramatic “Siq” (Canyon). Then walk through it to Petra –
known as the red rock city – the ancient capital of the Nabateans from the 3rd
century BC to
the 2nd century AC. Visit the most interesting carved monuments,
such as the Treasury (El Khazneh – the tomb of the Nabatean King). Then the
field of tombs, obelisks and the alter (Al Mashbah). From this point you can
view the whole of the rock city. Then back to Wadi Musa village and drive back
to Amman for over night.
Tuesday – Amman / Madaba /
Mount Nebo / Tel Aviv
After
breakfast leave hotel. Drive to Madaba to see the ancient mosaic map of the
Holyland and ruins of historical site. Continue about 10 km to Mount Nebo, from
where Moses viewed the Promised Land. From there you will see the Jordan
Valley, Jericho and the Dead Sea. Visit the remains of Byzantine church with
mosaic floor, then drive to the border and back to Jerusalem & Tel Aviv.

Friday - Amman / Madaba /

After
breakfast drive to Madaba to see the ancient mosaic map of the Holyland and
ruins of historical site. Continue about 10 km to Mount Nebo, from where Moses
viewed the Promised Land. From there you will see the Jordan Valley, Jericho
and the Dead Sea. Visit the remains of Byzantine church with mosaic floor.
Proceed via the Crusader’s castle – Shobak – to Wadi Musa, the modern village
of Petra for overnight.
Saturday
- Petra / Amman
After breakfast, leave the hotel and ride
on horseback from the Visitor Centre to the entrance of the dramatic
“Siq” (Canyon). Then walk through it to Petra – known as the red rock city –
the ancient capital of the Nabateans from the 3rd century BC to the 2nd
century AC. Visit the most interesting carved monuments, such as the Treasury
(El Khazneh – the tomb of the Nabatean King). Then the field of tombs, obelisks
and the alter (Al Mashbah). From this point you can view the whole of the rock
city. After the visit leave Petra and drive back to Amman for overnight.
Sunday
– Amman /Aallenby bridge /Jerusalem / Tel Aviv
After
breakfast leave the hotel and drive to Allenby bridge.
Cross the Jordan river and drive back to Jerusalem
& Tel Aviv.
